How do you turn DEM into contours?

Note:

  1. Start ArcMap.
  2. Load the DEMs files you want to filter.
  3. Load data in the map if necessary.
  4. On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > Production Contouring.
  5. Click the Create Contours button.
  6. If necessary, type a value in the Base Contour text box.
  7. Type a value in the Contour Interval text box.

How do you make contours with lidar data?

To create contours from the LIDAR data in raster format;

  1. From the search bar of the geoprocessing toolbox, type and search, “contour.”
  2. Set “input data” to LIDAR data in raster format.
  3. Set “output feature class” to desired output name and location.
