What is the alternative of setZoomLevel in vector based map?
Hiking & ActivitiesWhat is zoom level in Google Map?
The Google Maps API provides map tiles at various zoom levels for map type imagery. Most roadmap imagery is available from zoom levels 0 to 18, for example. Satellite imagery varies more widely as this imagery is not generated, but directly photographed.
How do I change the zoom level on Google Map Android?
Changing zoom level and setting minimum/maximum zoom
- zoomIn() and CameraUpdateFactory.
- zoomTo(float) gives you a CameraUpdate that changes the zoom level to the given value, while keeping all other properties the same.
- zoomBy(float) and CameraUpdateFactory.
What is the main reason that vector tiles are preferred over raster tiles when showing vector data on web maps?
Vector tiles are about 20–50% of the size of raster tiles so they take less time to transmit, requiring less resources for processing. Moreover, they offer a high-resolution display on all zoom levels without increasing the file size of the tiles.
