What is Gimkit and how does it work?
Gimkit is a classroom game-show platform where students compete by answering questions on their electronic devices. Instead of earning points, students earn virtual currency, which they can “invest” during the game to boost their score.
Is Gimkit better than Kahoot?
Both Kahoot and GimKit are very engaging for students, although Kahoot appeals to the more competitive students. GimKit allows for questions to repeat on a random loop, allowing for more repetitions. The easiest way to use Gimkit remotely is with assignments.
That means you don’t need to host a live game, share a game code, or even be online at all! When you create an assignment, you’ll select a Kit you want students to play, and how much money you want each student to earn.
How do Gimkit assignments work?
Make assignments from any of your existing kits, set a due date, set game goals for students, and you’re done! Once you’ve created and shared an assignment with your students, they’ll work to complete it by reaching a cash or time goal.
