Install the qgis2web plugin by going to Plugins ‣ Manage and Install Plugin (See Using Plugins for more details on installing plugins in QGIS). Once the plugin is installed, go to Web ‣ qgis2web ‣ Create a web map.

  5. Go to GIS Cloud Publisher and click on “Share or Publish”
  6. Select Embed and copy the Iframe code.

Once you have these prerequisites in place, follow the steps below to set up your Web GIS:

  1. Install and authorize Portal for ArcGIS.
  2. Choose to create a new portal.
  3. You’ll be prompted to install ArcGIS Web Adaptor.
  4. Install the Web Adaptor.
  5. Install and authorize ArcGIS Server.

Is Web GIS free?

GIS software comes in two general formats: open-source and commercial. Open-source GIS software is free and the source code is openly available – meaning anyone can study it and/or make changes. In most case, free GIS software doesn’t have the same functionality and support as commercial GIS.
