Transforming coordinate in Swiss reference system LV95 into LatLong/WGS84?
Hiking & ActivitiesIs WGS84 a Lat Lon?
What’s called “WGS84” is usually a specific standard for lat-long, more formally called “EPSG Coordinate Reference System Code 4326”. These are the coordinates used by GPS location systems, and should be the default lat-long system for any new data.

What is the EPSG code of the Swiss projection?
CH1903 / LV03 – Swiss CH1903 / LV03 – EPSG:21781.
How do you convert coordinates to WGS84?
How to convert to WGS84:
- Select the Input SRS (the default format is WGS84).
- Input the coordinates in a decimal degrees (DD) format.
- Click “Transform” to quickly convert coordinates.
- Get your coordinates in the WGS84 on your display.
What is LL84 coordinate system?
LL84 would be a coordinate system, based on the WGS84 datum. But the definition of WGS84 includes a specific orientation, so a given point will have identical Lat/Long values in ANY coordinate system based on WGS84. So as soon as we say “WGS84”, we’ve defined the Lat and Long.

What is the EPSG code for WGS84?
4326
The WGS84 Coordinate Systems adds Greenwich as the starting point (prime meridian) for the longitude (0°) and sets the units in degrees (°). This coordinate system also has a unique reference code, the so-called EPSG code, which is 4326.
Is EPSG 4326 the same as WGS84?
4326 is just the EPSG identifier of WGS84. WGS84 comprises a standard coordinate frame for the Earth, a datum/reference ellipsoid for raw altitude data.

What is EPSG code for Lat Long?
EPSG:4326
EPSG Code:
The standard latitude/longitude projection based on the WGS84 datum is “EPSG:4326”. “EPSG:4326” describes latitude/longitude coordinates. The string “EPSG:900913” is newer, and not supported by all software, but describes coordinates in meters in x/y.
What kind of datum is WGS84?
WGS84 is defined and maintained by the United States National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). It is consistent, to about 1cm, with the International Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF). It is a global datum, which means that coordinates change over time for objects which are fixed in the ground.
Is WGS84 the same as UTM?
The difference is that WGS 84 is a geographic coordinate system, and UTM is a projected coordinate system. Geographic coordinate systems are based on a spheroid and utilize angular units (degrees).

What unit of measurement is WGS84?
The WGS84 Coordinate Systems adds Greenwich as the starting point (prime meridian) for the longitude (0°) and sets the units in degrees (°). This coordinate system also has a unique reference code, the so-called EPSG code, which is 4326.
