To add or change the basemap in the active map, follow these steps:
- On the Map tab, in the Layer group, click Basemap. to open the basemap gallery.
- Click an icon in the gallery to choose a basemap.
How do I edit a basemap in ArcGIS?
To change the basemap, do the following:
- From the map tools, click Basemap. to display the basemap gallery.
- In the gallery, select a basemap. The map automatically displays the new basemap.
- Click Close. when you are finished changing the basemap to close the Basemap pane and view the map.
How do I get more Basemaps in ArcGIS?
Add a new basemap layer to your map. Right-click the data frame name in the table of contents and click New Basemap Layer. This adds a new basemap layer in your table of contents. The basemap layer behaves much like a group layer in that you can drag content into it.
