How do I make an ArcGIS map available offline?

Enabling layers and maps for offline use

  1. Hosted feature layers.
  2. ArcGIS Server feature layers.
  3. Hosted tile layers.
  4. ArcGIS Server cached map services (also called tile layers)—Check the Allow clients to export cache tiles check box when you publish the service from ArcGIS Pro.

Can you use ArcGIS Field Maps offline?

ArcGIS Field Maps supports downloading web maps and mobile map packages (MMPKs). Web maps can be used while online or they can be downloaded. They can have multiple offline map areas defined as part of the map or on the device, and they must be configured to support offline use.

How do I take maps offline?

Step 1: Download a map to use offline

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app .
  2. Make sure you’re connected to the internet and signed in to Google Maps.
  3. Search for a place, like San Francisco .
  4. At the bottom, tap the name or address of the place tap More Download offline map.


Does ArcGIS Pro work without Internet?

If you need to work in a disconnected environment, you can authorize ArcGIS Pro to work offline. This allows you to use the application without being signed in to a licensing portal. When you authorize ArcGIS Pro to work offline, you can only use the application on one machine.

How can I use maps without service?

Open the Google Maps app. Search for your destination, a city or a landmark. Tap the name or address of the place at the bottom of your screen, then tap the three dots. Select Download offline map > Download.
