We will study three forms of iteration: tail-recursion, while loops, and for loops.

The relationship between a while loop and the iteration table and tail-recursive implementation is as follows:

  • a while loop involves a continuation condition.
  • a while loop implementation does not involve an auxiliary method.

What are the two types of iteration?

There are two types of iteration:

  • Definite iteration, in which the number of repetitions is specified explicitly in advance.
  • Indefinite iteration, in which the code block executes until some condition is met.

What are the two main types of iteration?

There are two ways in which programs can iterate or ‘loop’: count-controlled loops. condition-controlled loops.
