How do I download historical Google Earth images?

In Google Earth Pro, you can save and export high-resolution JPGs of these historical images by going to File > Save > Save Image.

Can you download Google Earth imagery?

Now, click on ‘Explore images’. Click on the left and right arrows on the screen to browse images. You can also use the arrow keys on your keyboard to browse images. Click on the ‘Download Wallpaper’ button to download an image.
 

How do I download old satellite images?

Just go to Google Earth and enter a location in the search bar. Click on view and then on ‘Historical Imagery’ to see the image you want for a particular time. There is an option to zoom in /out to change start and end dates that have been covered by your timeline.

Saving Imagery



You’ll find the save feature under file > save > save image. For a cleaner image, turn off all of the map options, and set the scaling to 1%. To maximize the saved image dimensions, set the resolution to maximum, and then resize the Google Earth window to a square.
