How do I show lat long in QGIS?

QGIS defaults the CRS to that of the project. With the latitude and longitude coordinates in decimal degrees, the CRS needs to be set to WGS 84 (EPSG: 4326). To do this, click on the tiny globe icon located to the right of the drop down menu for Geometry CRS. From the CRS list, select WGS 84 and hit the “OK” button.
