How do you use loops in Google Earth Engine?

For Loops. The use of for-loops is discouraged in Earth Engine. The same results can be achieved using a map() operation where you specify a function that can be independently applied to each element. This allows the system to distribute the processing to different machines.

What is too many concurrent aggregations in Earth Engine?

Too many concurrent aggregations

The “aggregations” part of this error refers to operations that are spread out over multiple machines (such as reductions that span more than one tile). Earth Engine has limits in place to prevent too many such aggregations from being run concurrently.

What is the difference between Google Earth and Google Earth Engine?

While the two tools rely on some of the same data, only some of Google Earth’s imagery and data is available for analysis in Earth Engine.

Loops are useful tools for repeating an action within code and projects. There are three types of loops in the ‘Control’ section of block code: repeat x number of times, repeat until, and repeat forever. Each type of loop serves a different purpose, and understanding what they do is essential when writing code.

How do nesting loops work?

A nested loop is a loop within a loop, an inner loop within the body of an outer one. How this works is that the first pass of the outer loop triggers the inner loop, which executes to completion. Then the second pass of the outer loop triggers the inner loop again. This repeats until the outer loop finishes.
