Instead of wrestling with a bunch of different APKs (those Android Package Kits) for every type of device out there, you build and upload just one AAB file to the Google Play Store. Seriously, just one! This AAB is like a master file containing all the ingredients – all the compiled code and resources that make up your app.
Now, here’s where the magic happens. The Google Play Store takes that AAB and then cooks up the perfect APKs for each user’s specific phone or tablet. Think of it like this: you give the Play Store the recipe, and it whips up customized meals based on what each person orders. It considers things like screen size, the phone’s processor (that’s the CPU architecture, or ABI), and even the language the user has set on their device. Pretty neat, huh? In fact, Google is so keen on this approach that, since August 2021, it’s been mandatory for all new apps and updates on the Play Store. And since June 2023, Android TV has joined the AAB party.
Split APKs (SAA): The Perfectly Portioned Servings

The whole point of Split APKs is to break up your app into smaller, more manageable chunks. - Base APK: This is the main course, containing the core app code and resources that everyone needs, regardless of their device.

- ABI APKs: These are the engine parts, containing native libraries (.so files) built for specific CPU architectures (like x86 or arm64-v8a).

AAS vs. SA Spotting the Difference
