How do I install Google Earth engine in Anaconda?

The Earth Engine Python API can be installed to a local machine via conda, a Python package and environment manager. Conda is bundled with Anaconda and Miniconda Python distributions.



Install Miniconda

  1. Download the 64-bit Python 3 Miniconda installer to your Home directory.
  2. Run the installer.
  3. Delete the installer.

The preferred method for installing the Earth Engine Python API is via Anaconda. Download the Anaconda Installer for Python 3.7 (or a higher version) for your operating system. Once downloaded, double click the installer and install it into the default suggested directory.
