How do I use locator in ArcGIS?

You can find addresses and locations on the map with any of the locators that you added to your project using the Locate pane.

  1. On the Map tab, in the Inquiry group, click the Locate button.
  2. In the Locate pane, in the Search text box, type the address, place-name, or x,y coordinates you want to find.

How do I create an address locator in ArcGIS 10?

You can create a custom locator in ArcGIS Pro to geocode using your own data.



Create a locator

  1. On the Analysis tab, click the Tools button .
  2. Select the Create Locator tool.
  3. In the Create Locator tool pane, click the Role drop-down list and choose the role on which you want to base the locator.
  4. Click the Browse button.

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen.
  2. Touch and hold Location . If you don’t find Location : Tap Edit or Settings . Drag Location into your Quick Settings.
  3. Tap Location Services. Google Location Accuracy.
  4. Turn Improve Location Accuracy on or off.
