How do I split an image in Qgis?

The Easy Raster Splitter button will be added to the QGIS toolbar. Click on it.



In the new window that will appear select:

  1. the raster you want to split.
  2. the vector layer on which the split will be based.
  3. the method (Clip or Extract).
  4. the split option (Split by Feature of Full Vector).
  5. output folder for the split parts.

How do I separate bands in Qgis?

You can simply use the “gdal_translate” option in the QGIS, called “Clip Raster by Extent” under the Raster pulldown, for extracting an area and a particular band or set of bands. In the options see the use of “-b 2” to specify which band to export and the extent option to draw a box or other clipping methods.
