How do I get to mount hokulani in Pokemon moon?

Space & Navigation

Reaching for the Stars: Your Guide to Mount Hokulani in Pokémon Moon

Mount Hokulani! It’s more than just a pretty backdrop in Pokémon Moon; it’s a crucial stop on your Alolan journey. Think of it as home to the Hokulani Observatory, and, of course, Captain Sophocles’s electrifying trial. So, how do you get to this awesome summit? Well, it involves a trek through Route 10 and a memorable ride on the one-and-only Exeggutor Express. Let’s break it down, shall we?

Hitting the Road: Route 10

First up, you’ll need to navigate Route 10. This is your grassy connector from Malie City, leading straight to the base of Mount Hokulani. But hey, it wouldn’t be a Pokémon adventure without a few bumps in the road, right? Keep an eye out for those pesky Team Skull Grunts trying to cause trouble. You’ll have to battle your way through them to keep moving forward. Trust me, it’s worth it.

All Aboard! The Exeggutor Express Awaits

Now, hiking up a mountain? No thanks! That’s where the Exeggutor Express comes in. After you’ve dealt with Team Skull’s shenanigans, Professor Kukui pops up and clues you in: you need the bus to get to the top. Just look for the bus stop sign, hang tight for a moment, and boom! The Exeggutor Express pulls up, ready to whisk you away to the summit. Talk about convenient – it drops you right at the Hokulani Observatory’s doorstep.

Summit Views and Poké Stops

Once you arrive, take a breather and soak in the view! You’re at the Hokulani Observatory, the star attraction (pun intended!). Before diving into the trial, you might want to pop into the Pokémon Center to heal up your team and grab some supplies. Oh, and here’s a little tip: chat with Professor Oak near the Pokémon Center, and he’ll hand over a Moon Ball. Score! Also, if you’re feeling adventurous, there’s a Level Ball hidden behind some red trucks on the north side of the Pokémon Center. Happy hunting!

Sophocles’ Challenge: Are You Wired for It?

The Hokulani Observatory is where you’ll bump into Molayne, who’s kind enough to give you a Steelium Z. Nice! Head inside, and you’ll meet Captain Sophocles, ready to put you to the test with his trial. Get ready to solve some puzzles! You’ll be rearranging Charjabugs to connect the current and power up Sophocles’s contraption. It might sound a bit tricky, but it’s all part of the fun. Successfully complete the trial, and you’ll earn the coveted Electrium Z.

Wild Things and Hidden Treasures

Mount Hokulani and Route 10 are teeming with Pokémon, so keep your eyes peeled! You might encounter Beldum, Ditto, Minior, or even Elgyem. There are also trainers scattered along the mountain path, itching for a battle and ready to reward you for your skills. And don’t forget to explore every nook and cranny for hidden items like TM72 Volt Switch, a Fast Ball, a Rare Candy, a Heavy Ball, and a Max Potion. You never know what you might find!

A Little Evolution Tip

One last thing: while you’re on Mount Hokulani, remember this isn’t where Charjabug evolves into Vikavolt in Pokémon Moon. For that magical evolution, you’ll need to head over to Vast Poni Canyon and level up Charjabug there. In Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, Blush Mountain will also do the trick.

Happy adventuring on Mount Hokulani!
