Goldfire Motorcycle Helmet Backpack: A Rider’s (and Hiker’s!) New Best Friend?
ReviewOkay, so here’s the thing: I’m one of those people who can’t decide between two loves – roaring down the highway on my motorcycle and escaping into the quiet of a good hike. Finding gear that can keep up with both lifestyles? That’s been a real challenge. Enter the Goldfire Motorcycle Helmet Backpack. I saw it online and thought, “Could this be the one?” A bag that handles both my precious helmet and my trail essentials? I had to put it to the test. And after a few weeks of using it, I’m ready to spill the beans.
First Look:
Right away, the Goldfire felt like it could take a beating. The waterproof nylon material just screams “tough,” and the stitching looks super solid. I’m a sucker for that tactical vibe, so the overall design was right up my alley. Oh, and it comes with a United States Navy patch – a cool bonus, though you can totally remove it if it’s not your thing.
Hitting the Road:
Okay, the real moment of truth: how does it handle life on two wheels? Let’s face it, carrying a helmet around after a ride is the worst. But this backpack? The expandable helmet carrier is seriously genius. My full-face helmet fit snugly, and it didn’t feel like I was lugging around a giant bowling ball on my back. The straps are a cinch to adjust, so everything stayed secure, even when the wind was trying its best to rip my head off. And those reflective strips? Huge win! Anything that makes me more visible to those distracted drivers is a major plus in my book. Oh, and I almost forgot – the USB charging port! Total lifesaver. I remember this one time, I was on a long ride, my phone was practically dead, and this backpack swooped in to save the day. Seriously, game-changer.
Taking to the Trails:
But what about when I ditch the bike for a hike? Surprisingly, the Goldfire held its own. The padded back and shoulder straps? Super comfy, even when the pack is stuffed to the gills. And the MOLLE system? Brilliant! I clipped on extra pouches for water, snacks, you name it. I recently took it on a day hike up to Eagle Peak, and honestly, it did great. Is it a super-specialized hiking pack? Nah. But for shorter hikes, it’s more than capable.
A Few Little Quirks:
Alright, let’s keep it real – nothing’s perfect. If I could change a couple of things about the Goldfire, I would. The main compartment could be a bit roomier, especially if you’re trying to cram in a helmet and your hiking gear. And while that waterproof nylon is pretty good at keeping the rain out, I wouldn’t trust it in a monsoon without a rain cover (good news is, some versions seem to include one).
The Bottom Line:

All in all, the Goldfire Motorcycle Helmet Backpack is a fantastic, versatile piece of kit. It’s built tough, wears comfortably, and has a ton of handy features for both riders and hikers. It might not be the absolute best at any one thing, but as a jack-of-all-trades backpack? It’s pretty darn impressive. And for the price? It’s a steal. Seriously, I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a solid, do-it-all backpack. Go check it out!
