Fjallraven Raven 20: A Basalt Beauty for the Urban Jungle (and Beyond!)
ReviewOkay, so you know I’m always hunting for that perfect bag, right? The one that can handle my crazy travel schedule but still looks good enough to take to a coffee shop meeting. Well, I think I’ve finally found it: the Fjallraven Raven 20 in Basalt. Let me tell you why I’m obsessed.
First off, Fjallraven just gets design. This backpack is seriously sleek. The Basalt color? It’s this amazing dark gray that goes with literally everything. I can wear it with jeans and a t-shirt or dress it up a bit – it just works. And the material feels super tough, like it can handle anything I throw at it (which, let’s be honest, is a lot).
But it’s not just a pretty face, people. This thing is smart. I can easily slide my 13-inch MacBook into the padded sleeve – a total must-have for me. Plus, there’s tons of room for my books, water bottle, you name it. And you know how I’m always losing my pens and phone in the bottomless pit of my bags? Not anymore! The zippered front compartment has these genius mesh pockets that keep everything organized. Hallelujah! The side pockets are clutch for stashing snacks (priorities, people) or a small umbrella.

I even took it for a spin on a recent hiking trip. Seriously comfortable! The padded back and shoulder straps saved my life on those uphill climbs. And get this – there’s even a little loop on the side where I could clip my hiking poles. Talk about attention to detail!
Here’s the lowdown:
- Killer Style: It’s minimalist, it’s chic, it’s me.
- All-Day Comfort: Seriously, I could wear this thing all day.
- Organization Goals: Everything has its place, and I love it.
- Built to Last: This bag is ready for anything.
- Laptop-Friendly: My MacBook fits like a glove.
Okay, a couple of minor things:
- Pricey: Fjallraven isn’t exactly budget-friendly. But you get what you pay for, right?
- Not for Long Hauls: 20 liters is great for everyday, but maybe not for a week-long backpacking trip.
The Bottom Line?
If you’re looking for a backpack that’s stylish, comfy, and ready for anything, the Fjallraven Raven 20 in Basalt is it. Whether I’m running to meetings, exploring a new city, or just hitting the trails, this bag is my new go-to. Yeah, it’s a bit of an investment, but trust me, it’s worth it. Seriously, just buy it already! You won’t regret it.
