How do I extract digits from a string?

Use the regular expression [^0-9] to find non-integer characters in the string and replace them with an empty value using the method replaceAll.
 

How to extract digits from a string in Java?

The task is to extract all the integers from the given string.
Approach 1:

  1. Replace all the non-digit characters with spaces (” “).
  2. Now replace every consecutive group of spaces with a single space.
  3. Eliminate the leading and the trailing spaces (if any) and the final string will only contain the required integers.

Method #1 : Using List comprehension + isdigit() + split() This problem can be solved by using split function to convert string to list and then the list comprehension which can help us iterating through the list and isdigit function helps to get the digit out of a string.
