Who uses AddressBase?

AddressBase Core provides approved addressing records for England, Wales and Scotland based on Local Authority holdings of the National Land and Property Gazetteer (NLPG) and One Scotland Address Gazetteer (OSG).

What is OS AddressBase?

Ordnance Survey’s addressing product, AddressBase® matches 29 million Royal Mail postal address to unique property reference numbers (UPRN), bringing a geographical dimension to the matched records.

What is address base premium?

AddressBase® Premium is an addressing gazetteer offering full lifecycle information of a property that can be used within geographical information systems (GIS) and database systems.

Is AddressBase free?

Why you should use AddressBase. AddressBase products are free to use if your organisation or project is covered by the Public Sector Geospatial Agreement. You can check if you are covered by the PSGA and if not, register for a PSGA membership. AddressBase’s primary source of address data is taken from local authorities
 

What is the national address database?

The NAD is a compilation of data provided by state, local, and tribal governments and is made available “as is.” The NAD is a work of the federal government and as such is not subject to copyright protection in accordance with 17 U.S.C. § 105. It is available for re-use without limitation or restriction.

I would recommend a simple format as follows: Address 1. Address 2.



The USPS wants the following unpunctuated address components concatenated on a single line:

  1. house number.
  2. predirectional ( N , SE , etc.)
  3. street.
  4. suffix ( AVE , BLVD , etc.)
  5. postdirectional ( SW , E , etc.)
  6. unit ( APT , STE , etc.)
  7. apartment/suite number.
