How do I change the Google Maps interface?

Change map type in Google Maps

1. Step 1 of 5. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
2. Step 2 of 5. Open the Google Maps app .
3. Step 3 of 5. To find map layer options, in the top right, tap Layers .
4. Step 4 of 5. Select the type of map you want to use: Default: A simple road map view.

Can you get old versions of Google Maps?

Just go to Google Earth and enter a location in the search bar. Click on view and then on ‚Historical Imagery‘ to see the image you want for a particular time. There is an option to zoom in /out to change start and end dates that have been covered by your timeline.

In the map menu, go to the Base map layer. Select the carat icon to open a menu of base map styles. Select a thumbnail to change the base map style.
