Dakine 10004335 365 BACKPACK 28L – Is It Worth Buying?
ReviewDakine 365 Backpack 28L: My Honest Take After a Few Weeks of Lugging It Around
Okay, so as a travel and lifestyle blogger, my bag is basically my office. I’m always hunting for that unicorn of a backpack – you know, the one that can handle everything from a laptop and camera gear to a rogue water bottle and the random souvenirs I inevitably pick up. The Dakine 365 BACKPACK 28L caught my eye with its promise of being both stylish and practical. Did it deliver? Let’s dive in.
Right off the bat, the Dakine 365 has this clean, simple look. I dig it. The material feels like it can take a beating, and the overall build seems pretty solid. The size, 28 liters, feels just right – not too huge that I feel like I’m hauling a hiking pack to the coffee shop, but big enough to actually be useful.

Now, about those features. The laptop sleeve… well, it’s there. It fits my 15-inch MacBook Pro just fine, but here’s the thing: it’s not padded. Seriously? That’s a bit of a head-scratcher for me. I’m a bit of a worrywart when it comes to my laptop, so I’d definitely recommend slipping your laptop into a separate sleeve before putting it in this backpack. Better safe than sorry, right?
On the plus side, the outside pockets with zippers are super handy for stashing my keys, phone, and wallet. No more digging around in the depths of my bag! Plus, the stretchy water bottle pocket is a lifesaver. It easily holds my usual water bottle, which is a must-have for me.
I’ve been using the Dakine 365 for a few weeks now, and it’s become my go-to for daily life. It’s comfy, even when I’ve crammed it full of stuff. The shoulder straps are nicely padded, and the back panel doesn’t make me sweat too much, which is a win in my book.
I even took it on a quick weekend trip recently. It held a change of clothes, my toiletries, a book (because, you know, digital detox), and my camera. The 28-liter size was perfect for that sort of adventure.
The Good Stuff:
- Love the clean, simple design.
- Feels like it’s built to last.
- Pretty comfy to carry, even when loaded.
- Those outside pockets are a game-changer.
- The size is just right for everyday use and short trips.
The Not-So-Good Stuff:
- That non-padded laptop sleeve is a bummer. Seriously, Dakine, what’s up with that?
- Could use a little more organization inside.
The Verdict:
Overall, the Dakine 365 BACKPACK 28L is a solid choice if you’re looking for a stylish and functional everyday bag. It’s great for school, work, or even a bit of travel. Just be aware of that laptop sleeve situation and maybe invest in a separate sleeve for peace of mind. If Dakine added a padded laptop compartment and a few more pockets inside, this backpack would be a total home run. As it stands, it’s a good, reliable option with a couple of quirks.
