GRASS GIS can be used to extent the geospatial capability of R by: (1) offering an extensive and robust set of geospatial tools, and (2) provides a way to work with very large (larger-than-memory) spatial data sets. See Using ‘GRASS GIS functionality within a R session’ below for more information.

When launching GRASS GIS for the first time, you will open a default Location “world_latlog_wgs84” where you can find a map layer called “country_boundaries” showing a world map in the WGS84 coordinate system. Running GRASS GIS for the first time, a folder named “grassdata” is automatically created.

Fill in the hole in lawn with soil, mounding it about 1 inch higher than the surrounding grade. Replace the grass, pat it lightly into place, and water. The grass should eventually settle into place. If there is no sod present, sow grass seed on open soil.
How do you make a GRASS plot?
Dirt can first be used on the Research Table to unlock Grass Plot. Afterward, Dirt is required to make a Grass Plot. If players own some unneeded Dirt, they can throw the materials to the Recycler to make Trash Cubes in Raft. One Dirt grants 60 points, which is equal to two Scraps or six Plastics.

Follow Along: Load data using the GRASS Panel
- Load data into QGIS as usual.
- As soon as it is loaded, click on the Filter box of the GRASS Panel and find the vector import tool by entering the term v.in.ogr.qgis :
- Once you’ve found this tool, click on it to bring up the tool itself.
- Click Run to begin the import.
