How do you clip a raster by the extent of another raster?

Use the tool Raster Domain to create footprint polygons of the two raster extents. Merge the two foot prints together to create one shape. Start editing the merged polygon and then clip (under the editor tool bar) the survey raster footprint from the 2ft raster footprint.

How do I clip rasters to polygon boundaries in ArcGIS?

Here are the steps to clip rasters using the Image Analysis toolbar in ArcGIS:

  1. Enable Image Analysis Toolbar. Enable the Image Analysis Toolbar (Windows > Image Analysis).
  2. Select Raster to Clip.
  3. Select Polygon Boundary to Clip To.
  4. Click Clip Icon.
  5. Export Raster.

How do you clip to extent in ArcGIS?

Right-click the data frame for which you want clip in the table of contents and click Properties. Click the Data Frame tab on the Data Frame Properties dialog box. Click the Clip Options drop-down menu and select Clip to current data driven page extent. Click OK.

Can raster data be clipped?

An existing raster or vector layer can be used as the clip extent. If you are using a feature class as the output extent, you can clip the raster by the minimum bounding rectangle of the feature class or by the polygon geometry of the features.

What is the difference between clip and extract by Mask?

Clip only does a rectangular area (envelope) however extract by mask will extract to an irregular/multipart/doughnut polygon. If you want only the data in an extent use clip, it’s much faster, but if you need to trim to an irregular shape then use extract by mask.

How do you clip overlapping polygons in Arcgis?

Using the Edit tool, select the overlaying polygon.

  1. Click the Editor drop-down arrow and select Clip.
  2. Leave the buffer distance set at 0.00.
  3. Under When Clipping Features, select Discard the area that intersects and then click OK.
  4. Delete or move the overlaying polygon.

How do you cut polygon features along the boundary of existing polygons?

Procedure

  1. Select both polygons.
  2. On the Editor toolbar, set the ‘target layer’ to the layer containing the polygon to be cut.
  3. Set task to Cut Polygon Feature.
  4. Set the snapping environment to the polygon to be cut.
  5. Trace that polygon or right-click and select Replace Sketch. Finish Sketch on the cut polygon.

Can you clip a raster to a vector?

Quote from video:

How do I crop raster by extent in QGIS?

Clip Raster by Extent

It is located on the QGIS Main Menu under Raster > Extraction. Access the Clip Raster by Extent tool. Now you should see the Clip Raster by Extent dialog open in QGIS. Make sure the ‘Input layer’ field is set to the raster layer that you want to clip.

How do I clip raster by raster in QGIS?

Click on the Raster menu, mouse-over Extraction, and click on Clipper… Click “Select…” next to the Output file, find your working folder, and name the output raster. Click the radio button next to Mask layer and use the drop-down arrow to select the layer you are masking the raster tool. Click OK.

How do I change the extent of a raster in QGIS?

In Raster calculator enter expression: A@1 this will simply leave A values unchanged. Then click on VR raster in Raster bands to highlight it and click a on Current layer extent button – this will set desired extent of the output raster. Save result as a template for A (overwrite existing file).
